Biography
Michele Hangley, a litigator, handles cases in a variety of areas, including intellectual property, real estate, commercial litigation, First Amendment litigation, and legal malpractice defense. A significant portion of her practice focuses on attorneys’ professional responsibility issues; she is a Co-Chair of the Committee on Ethics and Professionalism of the American Bar Association’s Section of Litigation. Michele is a 1998 magna cum laude graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where she was an Articles Editor of the Law Review, Co-Chair of the International Law Society, and a member of the American Inn of Court. From 1998 to 1999, Michele served as a law clerk for the Honorable Phyllis A. Kravitch of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
After receiving her AB in Political Science from Brown University in 1988, Michele worked as a paralegal in the New York and London offices of a major international law firm and as a freelance copy editor for various magazines in New York. She is admitted to the bars of Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
