Biography
Ms. Starr, a litigator, graduated cum laude from the Georgetown University Law Center in 2000. At Georgetown, Ms. Starr was the Executive Notes and Comments Editor of the Georgetown Law Journal. She was also a Founding Editor of the Georgetown Journal of Gender and the Law and served as one of that journal's first Article and Notes Editors. From 2000 to 2001, Ms. Starr served as a law clerk to the Honorable Barefoot Sanders, Senior United States District Judge for the Northern District of Texas. Prior to joining Hangley Aronchick Segal & Pudlin, Ms. Starr was an Assistant Defender with the Defender Association of Philadelphia litigating felony and misdemeanor cases.Ms. Starr received her A.B. in Anthropology from Brown University in 1993 where she focused her studies on Archaeology, excavating both in Rhode Island and in Israel. Before becoming an attorney, Ms. Starr was an Assistant Director of Admission at Brown University and the Program Director at the Dorot Foundation.
Ms Starr practices both criminal and complex civil litigation in state and federal court.
