Biography
Ronald P. Schiller, a litigator, has a broadly diversified jury trial practice. His experience includes commercial litigation, counseling and trial practice in federal and state courts and before the AAA.
Mr. Schiller has represented the world’s largest insurers in their sophisticated coverage, bad faith and reinsurance disputes, including in several trials. He has represented commercial online services, telecommunication companies and backbone and equipment providers in cellular communications in First Amendment, intellectual property, E911, online and general civil litigation. He has represented financial institutions, mortgage companies and developers in housing and discrimination litigation, and pharmaceutical and food product companies in contract disputes and dealer and employee termination matters.
In the last 24 months, Mr. Schiller has argued six appeals and tried four trials, including two bad faith trials in state court and one multi-week insurance coverage trial in federal court over a claim for approximately $100 million of claimed indemnity and defense exposure. He has also been hired to take over cases shortly before trial and is handling several complex litigations that he took over post-trial for post-trial motions and appeals.
The respected English publisher Chambers & Partners recognized him in Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business, noting that clients admire him as “someone who consistently wins big cases.” He has repeatedly been selected by his peers as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer and has been named in The Best Lawyers in America.
