Hangley Aronchick Segal & Pudlin's John S. Summers Appointed to World Affairs Council of Philadelphia Board of Directors


Philadelphia, PA – February 7, 2008 – John S. Summers, a litigation shareholder at the law firm of Hangley Aronchick Segal & Pudlin, was recently appointed to the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia Board of Directors.

The World Affairs Council is a private, non-profit, non-partisan educational organization dedicated to informing and engaging people of all ages on matters of national and international significance.

Mr. Summers concentrates his practice in civil and white collar crime, complex commercial, class action defense, professional malpractice and misconduct, ERISA, health care, intellectual property and general business cases.  Mr. Summers also serves as counsel to the firm.

He received his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania in 1984, where he served as an Editor of the Law Review, and received his B.A. magna cum laude from Wesleyan University in 1980.

Mr. Summers is deeply involved in serving the community at the Bar.  Among other things, he is a Lecturer-in-Law at the University of Pennsylvania Law School and serves on the Board of Directors of The Reinvestment Fund, where he is Vice Chair and a member of the Executive Committee.
