Hangley Aronchick Paralegal Chosen as Outstanding Local Leader


Bob Hrouda, Litigation ParalegalThe National Federation of Paralegal Associations (NFPA) has selected Robert S. Hrouda, a Litigation Paralegal at Hangley Aronchick Segal & Pudlin in Philadelphia, as the organization’s 2006 Outstanding Local Leader.  The award, sponsored by LeapLaw, was presented at NFPA’s annual convention in Chicago.

The Outstanding Local Leader award is given to an individual who has promoted interest and participation in the activities of his/her local association and has been recognized by the legal community as a professional dedicated to the advancement of the legal profession.

Among his many accomplishments, Mr. Hrouda has been elected to three terms as president of the Philadelphia Association of Paralegals (PAP); he has increased board participation in special projects and has nearly doubled the size of the board through his efforts to motivate others to run for board positions; as a result of  his efforts to foster a relationship with the Young Lawyers Division of the Philadelphia Bar Association a  PAP liaison position with the division has been established; and he has been instrumental in the establishment of an associate membership for paralegals in the Philadelphia Bar Foundation. 

According to Valerie A. Dolan, RP, paralegal for the firm of David T. Shulick and the current president of PAP, “I have had numerous opportunities to work with Mr. Hrouda on various projects throughout the years.  He works tirelessly at all of these events and more, all the while promoting PAP and the paralegal profession.”
