Wendy Beetlestone Selected to Present at the Education Law Association 2006 52nd Annual Conference
Philadelphia, PA – September 5, 2006 – Wendy Beetlestone, a litigation and education law shareholder at Hangley Aronchick Segal & Pudlin, has been selected to speak at the Education Law Association’s 2006 52nd Annual Conference at the Atlantis, Paradise Island, Bahamas from October 12-14, 2006. Ms. Beetlestone’s presentation is entitled “SES: The Hot Spot of NCLB” and will explore the tensions between accountability and access provisions of the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) as they concern the provision of Supplemental Educational Services (SES).
Ms. Beetlestone concentrates her practice in commercial litigation and has developed a practice serving education clients. Prior to joining Hangley Aronchick Segal & Pudlin, she was General Counsel of the School District of Philadelphia. Ms. Beetlestone currently serves as a Trustee of the Philadelphia University’s board, on the Philadelphia Bar Foundation Board of Trustees and the Board of Directors of the Mann Center for the Performing Arts.
Ms. Beetlestone graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1993 where she served as Articles Editor of the Law Review from 1992-1993 and the Associate Editor from 1991-1992. She received her B.A. with honors from Liverpool University in 1984.
