William T. Hangley to be Keynote Speaker at University of Pennsylvania Law Review Annual Banquet


Philadelphia, PA – March 17, 2006 – William T. Hangley, Chairman of the law firm of Hangley Aronchick Segal & Pudlin, will be the guest of honor and speaker at the University of Pennsylvania Law Review Annual Banquet at the National Constitution Center on Thursday, April 6, 2006.  The event celebrates the contribution of the editors of this year’s volume and welcomes the new Editorial Board.

Mr. Hangley is a 1966 graduate of Penn Law School and was Comment Editor of the Law Review as a student from 1964-1966.  His trial practice includes First Amendment, antitrust, intellectual property, estates, environmental, construction, employment, securities, attorney malpractice and general business cases.  The Pennsylvania Supreme Court recently appointed Mr. Hangley to serve on the IOLTA Board.  Mr. Hangley was also recently appointed to serve a three-year term on the Council of the ABA’s Section of Litigation, and has chaired various committees and task forces in the Section.  He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, and recently completed a two-year term as Chair of the College's Committee on the Federal Rules of Evidence. He is also a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation and a Member of the American Law Institute. He also serves as Co-Chair of the Task Force on the Judiciary of the American Bar Association Section of Litigation.  Mr. Hangley has been named one of the top 5 commercial litigators in the state by Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business, he was named a “Top 10” Pennsylvania Super Lawyer in 2004 and 2005 and is regularly listed in The Best Lawyers in America.
