There are three time-honored rules of traveling: Patience, Flexibility and Sense of Humor. They have served us well.

PATIENCE: Since opening our doors ten years ago as a 17-lawyer firm, we have grown to 54 lawyers. We have done it one step – very occasionally, two steps - at a time. We have gone slowly because we are in no rush to get bigger. We are very selective; our lawyers have extraordinary academic and professional credentials, and they share the common desire to work together on important matters in a creative and entrepreneurial environment. Our growth has been steady and deliberate. That is fine with us.

FLEXIBILITY: While we are proud to represent some of the nation’s largest companies, our practice is not limited to institutions and institution-sized clients. We represent entrepreneurs, universities, governmental entities, individuals, and several of the most well known professional firms in the region. In litigation, we are not a “plaintiff’s firm” or a “defense firm.”  We pride ourselves on being able to undertake matters before the widest range of tribunals - whether it be a municipal court in Philadelphia, an international arbitration panel or a federal court anywhere in the country. In our business and real estate work we represent buyers and sellers, landlords and tenants, lenders and borrowers. SENSE OF HUMOR: Our culture is important to us and perhaps no aspect of it is as fundamental to our self-identity as our ability to laugh at things, including ourselves.
