We have considerable expertise in both bringing and defending a broad range of class action suits in federal and state courts. We have served as lead counsel in large, financially significant cases. Our lawyers have succeeded in defending class action suits in various industries and have developed strategies for dealing with initial class certification and discovery issues. In cases where courts have granted class certification, we are able to effectively manage the class action to a successful resolution on the merits.

We currently represent a defendant in the OSB antitrust litigation pending in the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Pennsylvania.  Recently,  wBo Ebby, Shareholder, Litigatione represented the lead defendant, a Pennsylvania-based health maintenance organization, in a civil RICO putative class action filed in the Eastern District on behalf of more than 6,000 doctors and other health professionals who are providers for the HMO. 

Additionally, The U.S. District Court for the Western District of Kentucky recently approved a national class action settlement on behalf of our client, a structured settlement funding company, and the class of approximately 1,700 customers.  The settlement resolved disputes over, among other issues, the enforceability of structured settlement factoring transactions entered into before 2002.
