Before joining the firm, Kate was a Philadelphia Assistant District Attorney, working in the Appeals and Post-Conviction Relief Unit.

Kate was captain of the Susquehanna University Women’s Swim Team.

In college, Kate majored in Finance and double minored in Spanish and Philosophy.

Katelyn Mays is an associate in the Insurance Coverage practice.

She works on a range of insurance coverage matters, including specialty lines, general liability, reinsurance, and bad faith litigation and counseling. Inside the firm, she is an active member of the Associate Development Committee, helping associates hone their legal and professional skills.

Kate earned her law degree, magna cum laude, from Temple University Beasley School of Law, where she served as staff editor of the Temple Law Review and as a clinic member of the school’s Sheller Center for Social Justice. She earned her undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from Susquehanna University. During law school, she served as a judicial intern for the Honorable David R. Strawbridge of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

Prior to joining the firm, Kate was an Assistant District Attorney in the Appeals and Post-Conviction Relief Units of the Office of the District Attorney of the City of Philadelphia, where she handled numerous appellate briefs and argued multiple cases for the Pennsylvania Superior Court.
