Nick works on all stages of complex commercial disputes, from initial research to post-trial pleadings. He conducts legal research and drafts memoranda on a range of issues including financial institution regulations. Nick crafts discovery requests and responses, pleadings, dispositive motions and appellate briefs. His practice also involves taking and defending depositions.
An active pro bono practitioner, Nick focuses such work on criminal justice and prisoners’ rights. He served as a staff investigator for the Pennsylvania Innocence Project, where he led investigations on behalf of wrongfully convicted prisoners; located witnesses and evidence for post-conviction petitions; and helped develop trial strategy and innocence case theories alongside attorneys. Nick undertook similar work for The Defender Association in Seattle as well, managing investigations for criminal defense cases ranging from non-capital felonies to misdemeanors to juvenile cases.
