Sara Smith litigates complex commercial disputes in state and federal trial and appellate courts. She works with clients at every stage of a potential dispute, keeping in mind potential issues to raise in the event of an appeal, and building strategic approaches for resolving disputes.

Sara understands that concise and persuasive writing is critical to litigation, whether that is a memorandum on legal issues early on or post-trial briefing. Her motion practice includes drafting pre-trial and dispositive motions, including motions for summary judgment, motions in liminie, motions to dismiss and Daubert and Frye motions for products liability, toxic tort and other commercial cases. She also has experience drafting complaints and briefing appeals before state appellate courts.

Before joining the firm, Sara was an associate at an international law firm, where her work included False Claims Act actions, toxic tort and products liability cases and appeals before state appellate courts in Pennsylvania and Maine. She clerked for the late Hon. Gene E.K. Pratter of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and interned for the Hon. Lynne A. Sitarski, also of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
