Deidra Hopkins helps national and international insurers manage risk and litigate coverage and bad faith disputes. She analyzes insurance policies, exclusions and contracts, and assesses an insurer’s responsibilities and potential exposures under the policies.
Deidra draws on her research skills to examine industry-specific legal issues through case law, commercial and personal policies, and industry standards, drafting memoranda, various letters and coverage opinions. Should a dispute arise, she partners with colleagues to develop case strategy and use her research findings to help move the case forward.
During her time as a law clerk for the Hon. Karen M. Williams (D.N.J.), Deidra researched dispositive motions, evidentiary disputes, and constitutional claims, and drafted opinions, bench memoranda, and orders for civil and criminal matters. Before attending law school, she held various roles at the Bucks County Court of Common Pleas and Magisterial District Court, and served as a judicial services supervisor at the Bucks County District Court Administration.
