Shareholder Becca Nayak hosted a panel discussion about “Handling Adoption and ART (no, not “The Bean”) Issues in Family Law” on Friday, July 10, 2026. The session provided an overview of the growing field of Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) and the fundamentals of adoption and assisted reproduction law in Pennsylvania. Panelists spoke about the statutory and common-law bases in areas including basic procedures; private versus public adoptions; termination of parental rights; post-adoption contact agreements; parentage in third-party reproduction cases; embryo disposition in the event of a divorce; and the emotional and ethical considerations of ART.
