What advice would you give to those considering a career in law?

I would work for at least two years before going to law school, and the position need not be in the legal industry. Having prior professional experience will give you a leg up in interviews and also will provide useful personal development and perspective. And make sure that you truly want to be a lawyer; law school should never be a safety blanket or a last resort.

Outside of work, are you involved in any groups or associations (legal or non-legal)?

I was the board observer to the Public Interest Law Center this past year, and I remain a member of the Law Center’s Communications Committee. The Philadelphia Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division Board Observer Program is phenomenal, and I would encourage all young lawyers to participate.

What’s your favorite way to spend time outside of the office?

I love to run all lengths of races, from 5Ks to half-marathons, and I ran my first full marathon in 2018. I also enjoy taking dance classes at Koresh Dance Company and traveling. This past year I was lucky to be able to travel to both Greece and Paris, France.
