Aaron Jacobs helps clients resolve disputes on a broad range of litigation, including complex civil and commercial suits, white collar defense and investigations, and bankruptcies and reorganizations. Helping clients in various industries, he works on all stages of a dispute, from early case assessment through post-trial motions.
Aaron is experienced in researching and analyzing complex legal issues to support case strategy, working with colleagues and clients on achieving litigation goals. As a skilled writer, he unites fact with purpose in drafting motions and pleadings for matters before trial and appellate courts. Aaron also drafts requests for discovery and discovery responses, privilege logs, and briefs across state and federal areas of law, and prepares witnesses for depositions and cross-examinations. An active pro bono practitioner, Aaron helped win asylum for clients fleeing gang violence in El Salvador and Peru, submitted an amicus brief in a public health matter before the Fourth Circuit, obtained successful results for multiple veterans seeking disability benefits from the Department of Veterans Affairs, and secured favorable outcomes for various clients facing familial or housing challenges.
Prior to joining the firm, Aaron served as a law clerk to the Honorable James L. Cott (ret.) of the Southern District of New York. Aaron also worked as a litigation associate in the New York office of a global law firm. During law school, he was a student attorney at the Columbia Environmental Law Clinic. Prior to law school, Aaron served as an AmeriCorps Member with a nonprofit organization based in Birmingham, Alabama.
