Hangley Aronchick is committed to promoting a culture of equity, inclusion, and belonging within the firm, our practices, the legal profession, and our community. We believe that attracting and retaining attorneys and staff members with a range of backgrounds and experiences is not only the right thing to do, it is also the smart thing to do: it improves our ability to understand and meet client needs, and collaboration among different perspectives leads to more creative, informed, and holistic thinking.

Our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee (the “DEI Committee”) is comprised of attorneys and staff members who are committed to promoting inclusion and belonging within the firm and the legal profession more broadly. The DEI Committee strives to:

  • Identify ways to collaborate with clients, bar associations, and other non-profit organizations that aim to promote the inclusion of different backgrounds and experiences in the legal profession.
  • Educate our attorneys and staff members about topics related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Celebrate diversity and  help all employees feel a greater sense of inclusion and belonging.
  • Create equal and fair access to all aspects of firm life.

With these goals in mind, we aim to create an inclusive workplace that fosters an environment of creativity, innovation, and mutual respect.

Our firm’s commitment to promoting equity and inclusion is reflected in the work that we do. From prevailing in the case that established the right to same-sex marriage in Pennsylvania, to successfully defending laws that safeguard fair elections and equal access to the vote, we take great pride in our work in the courtroom to defend and expand the principles of equality and inclusion.
