Hangley Aronchick Segal Pudlin & Schiller is proud to announce that shareholder Steven Miano has been named President Elect of the American College of Environmental Lawyers (ACOEL). Steve officially began his one-year term on September 25, following the organization’s annual meeting in Chicago.
The American College of Environmental Lawyers is a professional association of distinguished lawyers who practice environmental law. Steve has been an active member of ACOEL since 2018, most recently serving as the group’s secretary. He has also held roles as planning chair for ACOEL’s annual and mid-year meetings and co-chair of the Board of Regents and remains a member of the Board.
Steve practices environmental law and litigation, focusing on issues arising under the Clean Water Act, Superfund and contaminated property redevelopment. He also counsels clients on environmental permitting, enforcement actions and corporate and real estate transactions.
His leadership in the field of environmental law extends to the American Bar Association. He is a past chair of the ABA Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources and continues to serve on Section committees, including planning committees for nationwide conferences.
