Understanding business valuation is an important skill for attorneys in a range of practices, from family law and trusts and estates to business law and litigation. On July 14, 2021, Hangley Aronchick Family Law Shareholders Helen Casale, Jerry Shoemaker, and Cheryl Young will present a CLE program entitled “Basics of Business Valuation” covering a range of topics in the area of business valuations.

This panel discussion will cover the ins and outs of business valuation both for family law practitioners and for all attorneys looking to learn more about issues at the intersection of family and corporate law. Topics will include Standards of Value, including Fair Market Value, Intrinsic Value, and Going Concern Value, among others, as well as the different approaches to valuation and the distinct types of goodwill.
