Hangley Aronchick is proud to have signed on to an amicus brief urging a federal appeals court to decline a revival of a series of executive orders targeting prominent U.S. law firms. Hangley Aronchick joined more than 800 law firms across the nation in signing the April 3 appellate brief, which argues that lawyers should be free to represent clients critical of the government without the threat of retribution.

Our firm previously supported Perkins Coie, WilmerHale, Jenner & Block and Susman Godfrey in a district court challenge, which resulted in the orders being struck down as unconstitutional. By continuing our participation in this important litigation, we reaffirm the importance of an independent legal profession and the rule of law.
