Hangley Aronchick is proud to announce that Cary Rice has been named to The Legal Intelligencer’s 2026 Lawyers on the Fast Track in the small/midsize firms category. The award honors the best attorneys under 40 years old in Pennsylvania.
With a pragmatic, people-centered approach, Cary represents companies in the technology, transportation, financial services, healthcare, and energy industries in complex litigation nationwide. She routinely defends technology platform companies in high-stakes litigation arising from the use of mobile applications and digital marketplaces. In that role, Cary works closely with industry clients to navigate evolving legal frameworks governing platform-based businesses, including personal injury and sexual assault claims, product liability theories, and other tort and commercial disputes.
An active pro bono practitioner and community member, Cary has represented the Pennsylvania Innocence Project in both federal and state courts and regularly represents tenants in landlord-tenant matters. She is a dedicated advocate for the pediatric cancer community and is a member of the Host Committee for the Madelyn James Foundation’s annual fundraising event to provide emotional, financial, and logistical assistance to families facing pediatric cancer.
Cary has also been named to Benchmark Litigation’s “40 Under 40” list for 2024–2026 and was listed by The Best Lawyers in America as “One to Watch” for Commercial Litigation for 2024–2026. She is a 2012 graduate of Harvard Law School and received her BA in English and French from the University of Virginia in 2009.
Cary and her fellow honorees will be recognized at an awards dinner in June.
