The real estate sectors that did well during COVID show no signs of slowing, with prices for existing product and developable land escalating at breakneck speeds.

Real Estate practice chair David Scolnic authored the article “Pennsylvania: Real Estate Trends, Developments, and Concerns,” for the 2021 edition of Chambers USA. This practice guide looks at the state of the Pennsylvania Real Estate industry after a a tumultuous year. The article discusses in particular the real estate sectors that did well during COVID – particularly industrial real estate and single family suburban residential – that still show no signs of slowing, as well as the way the real estate world is reacting to the reopening of businesses that were in semi-hibernation. Scolnic also discusses the resumption of evictions and foreclosures, as well as the possible tax changes that loom over the industry.
