Hangley Aronchick Segal Pudlin & Schiller is pleased to announce that shareholder Gerald Shoemaker has officially begun his term as chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Family Law Section.
Jerry, who focuses his practice on domestic relations matters including equitable distribution, alimony, custody, and complex support issues, will serve a one-year term as chair. In this role, he will lead a statewide group of attorneys committed to advancing the law and supporting families across Pennsylvania.
The Family Law Section is focused on the development and practical working of the law relating to marriage, divorce, support, custody, property and economic matters, as well as adoption and juvenile dependency. The section’s leadership, including the chair, plays a crucial role in protecting the rights of children and families, supporting those facing challenging circumstances, and enhancing the public’s perception of the family law system.
We are proud that Jerry will continue Hangley Aronchick’s legacy of leadership within the Family Law Section. Shareholders Cheryl Young and Helen Casale have both previously served as section chair.
