On December 19, 2016, Hangley Aronchick Segal Pudlin & Schiller obtained the complete dismissal of a high-profile challenge to the Philadelphia Beverage Tax. The measure is expected to generate crucial revenues for the City of Philadelphia to fund thousands of seats for universal pre-kindergarten and critical improvements to community and recreation centers, among other important uses. The tax and its ensuing litigation have been the subject of extensive media coverage and national interest. We continue to defend the City on appeal.

Our team is led by Mark Aronchick and John S. Stapleton, along with Jason Levine, Claudia De Palma, and Andrew Erdlen. Our co-counsel are attorneys from Chamberlain Hrdlicka and the City of Philadelphia Law Department.
